Coinbase has launched an offshore exchange in Bermuda, allowing non-U.S. customers to trade in perpetual futures for Bitcoin and Ethereum. The exchange will settle trades in USDC, and will initially focus on market makers and institutional clients. This move comes as a response to recent regulatory action against U.S.-based crypto firms, which have looked abroad to more friendly locales.

Trammell Venture Partners released a research brief analyzing the growth of Bitcoin-native startups and the emergence of the Lightning Network as a platform for entrepreneurs to build on a decentralized foundation. It looks at the growth of Bitcoin startup transactions, deal sizes and valuations, investments in Bitcoin companies, and more.

Fidelity Digital Assets released a research study about Bitcoin NFTs, also known as digital artifacts, are a type of non-fungible token that can be used to designate a place in a series or set. Inscriptions can be added to the Bitcoin blockchain, creating digital tokens which can be purchased, traded, and sold. Bitcoin NFTs are different from other NFTs because the data they contain is stored on the blockchain itself and creators cannot receive royalty fees.
